About

Community & Economic Development. Trevor C Lane, Ed.D. is an expert in development and innovation. Many communities are economically distressed as evidenced by the urban and rural divide. Rural and reservation communities are plagued with youth retention issues, closure of main street small businesses, and loss of industry. Since the early 1900’s the US has lost more than 3 million farms or ranches, according to the USDA.

Thus, it is critical to look to our tribes for leadership. Dr. Lane has coined the slogan, “Tribal. Urban. Rural. Education. (TRUE)” This #TRUE approach to community and economic development is helping communities overcome the historical woes to find a “WIN” around quality of life and love for community.

As an educator, project manager, researcher, and outreach specialist with many years of experience in public and private partnerships, Dr. Trevor C Lane provides consulting, mentoring, and leadership in a variety of ways. Experiences and scholarly passions are leading to a program that address the issues for communities focusing on the economic needs, challenges, and opportunities.

Dr. Change is developing a Convergence Model in partnership with a variety of corporate executives and community leaders.
